ROSEBANK ELEMENTARY CHESS CLUB

(Fridays 3:15 PM – 4:15 PM)

 

  • Dates: (24-weeks) Sept. 8, 15, 22, 29 – Oct. 20 – Nov. 3, 17 – Dec. 1, 8 – (2nd Semester) Jan. 12, 19, 26 – Feb. 2, 9, 16, 23 – Mar. 1, 22 – Apr. 5, 12, 19, 26 and Final Day May 3 (makeup day May 10)
  • Who can join the club? Grades 1 - 5        
  • Why chess?Chess is fun and competitive, but it also offers lasting educational benefits such as enhanced problem solving and logical reasoning skills, increased attention span, improved patience and self-esteem, and there is direct correlation between chess and increased math and reading standardized test scores. It’s so much more than just a game!
