Join us!

For only $65 per year ($45 per year for students), you or your child can become a member of the Nashville Chess Center (“NCC”) and receive the following benefits:

Club Events and Activities

Visitation privileges during all regular hours and the right to participate in regularly conducted NCC activities.  Regular hours are currently Mondays, 6 - 10 p.m., Fridays, 6 - 10 p.m., Kids Chess Club Sundays, 1 – 4 p.m. and Saturday Swiss once a month usually between 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Lectures by Titled Players

Members have free attendance at Monday club lectures given by Tennessee State Chess Champion FM Todd Andrews or a special guest lecturers.

Tournament Discounts

NCC Members receive discounts on entry fees to all chess tournaments held at the Nashville Chess Center and the NCC Online Tournaments.

NCC Chess Library

The NCC has an extensive library of chess books, videos, software and other chess instructional materials accessible to members in house or for check-out.

Academic benefits that students receive from playing and studying chess are well documented in numerous studies conducted in both the U.S. and abroad.  These benefits include:

Sunday "Kid's Chess" Activities

There is free attendance for students at all Sunday “Kids Day” lessons.  Young scholars get the chance to play chess with other students and receive instruction from some of NCC's top coaches.  More information about Sunday Club can be found on the NCC Kids tab.

Chess Camp Discounts

NCC Members receive discounts on registration fees for all kids chess camps sponsored by the NCC.

Chess Center Access for your School Team

NCC Members have the right to reserve the Nashville Chess Center for scholastic team matches or other scholastic chess events.

"Member's Only" Web Site Access

Members may create their own “Member Profile” on the NCC web site and participate in on-line forum discussions about chess with other NCC members in the “Members Only” area of the new NCC web site which includes lectures, lessons, games from NCC events, and much more!
